Wedding Planner Book
When planning a wedding keeping all your wedding party information and
papers is a major necessity. There are many software programs available to help you along the way
however, it's awkward to carry around a computer as your wedding
planner book while you make your way visiting multiple locations and meeting with the different people who are
involved with the planning of your wedding.
Many books are also available to help you in putting together this
undertaking. You can find these books and other organizing resources at multiple book stores and stationary
shops, on the other hand, you can put together your own wedding planner book based on your own personal needs.
In contrast, saving yourself a lot of money. While planning a wedding consists of a very tight budget, this is
an inexpensive and fun alternative. Let me tell you how it’s done.
Materials:
1 three-ring binder with plastic slip
cover
7 to 12 tab pages
College ruled loose-leaf
paper
7 to 12 clear, top-loading plastic protector
sheets
Personal photos, glitter, ribbons - or whatever you wish
to decorate the front cover
Elmer’s glue or tacky
glue
Putting
Together Your Wedding Planner Book:
1. When finished choosing decor for front cover, arrange
in a way that‘s suited for you. Plain paper is recommended however, there are many different sheets of
stationary available out there that can be found at any scrap booking store. Once you have your layout set,
glue the pieces to the stationary and slid into the plastic slip cover that is on the front of the binder.
2. Start labeling your tab pages (some ideas you can use
are..):
·
Schedule-
chart your wedding countdown on a simple calendar sheet that can easily be printed off the internet
(www.printoutcalendar.net). Place the countdown calendar behind this tab and check off each item as you fulfill
each of the steps.
·
Finances-
keep your wedding finance sheet here with estimated costs, actual costs, receipts, and a record of who is paying
for what.
·
Invitations & Thank
You's- guest list and addresses, different prints of invitations,
postage, etc.
·
Floral Needs- all information on flowers for both the reception and the ceremony, including bouquets
·
Wedding Attire- wedding dress, headpiece and veil, accessories, groom's tux, attire and accessories for maid of
honor, best man, bridesmaids, mother of bride, etc.
·
Ceremony-
location, information on person presiding over wedding, music, decorations, wedding programs, etc.
·
Photography/Videography- engagement photos, wedding photos, newspaper announcements, albums, videotaping, etc.
·
Reception-
location being rented for reception, information detailing reception, decorations, entertainment, wedding favors,
etc.
·
Wedding Cake- wedding cake designs, cake topper, different cake knife and server photos and ideas, etc.
·
Food and Beverages- list of food and beverages to be served at reception, list of guests with certain food
allergies, time food is served, way food is served, etc.
·
Honeymoon-
location, travel arrangements, house sitter if needed, etc.
·
Miscellaneous- marriage license, blood tests, rehearsal dinner, wedding shower information, arrangements for
traveling to and from wedding/reception, etc.
3. Assemble your tabbed sheets into the binder. Place the financial plans worksheet under the finances section. Several sheets of college ruled
loose leaf paper should be added to the other tabbed sections as note paper. . Use the note paper to jot down
the various names, dates, phone numbers, etc related to the tabbed section. Business cards can also be tapped to
the note paper as quick reference.
4. A plastic protector sheet can be placed in each of
these tabbed sections as well. These protector sheets can be used to keep receipts, photos, brochures, and
different important smaller pieces of information needed in planning your
wedding.
5. Now enjoy your own personalized wedding planner
book!! Who would have thought planning your wedding could be so fun and stress
free!!
